Research Award for Outstanding Early-Career Research in Wholesale

ForveG Research Award 2026 Honours Dissertation Project on AI-Driven Commodity Price Forecasting

Each year, ForveG awards a research prize to outstanding early-career researchers whose work advances knowledge of the wholesale sector. The prize recognizes research projects that contribute to a deeper understanding of wholesale structures and support the sector’s technological and organizational development.

In 2026, the ForveG Research Award was presented to Dr. Nico Beck (Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS). An Honourable Mention for an outstanding master’s thesis was awarded to Alexandr Beiderwellen Bedrikow (Technical University of Munich).

The awards were presented publicly on 17 June 2026 during the Day of Enterprises.

ForveG will again recognize outstanding master’s theses and doctoral dissertations with its research award in 2027. The call for submissions is expected to be published in spring 2027. To stay informed, follow us on LinkedIn or subscribe to our newsletter.

Award Amount

The ForveG Research Award in 2026 carries a prize of €9,000 funded by ForveG and sponsors. Promoting Applied Research by Emerging Scholars

In addition to promoting, initiating, and supporting scientific research in the wholesale sector, ForveG is committed to fostering outstanding early-career researchers. To promote young researchers we give an award endowed with at least €6,000 in 2026, to recognize exceptional research achievements. With a long-term perspective our award aims to encourage research projects that provide significant insights into the understanding and advancement of wholesale trade and its economic functions.

We seek to honor works that explore or analyze innovative business models, management approaches, technologies, software solutions, or insights into international markets and competitive conditions, provided they demonstrate exceptional academic quality. We would particularly like to encourage young researchers who have already focused on wholesale, as well as those whose work may prove valuable for the future development of the wholesale sector.
