Application Phase for the 2026 Research Award Now Open
In 2026 we will once again honour outstanding early-career research in wholesale and related fields with our research award. The application deadline is 30th April 2026.
The award carries a minimum prize of €3,000 and is expressly aimed at early-career researchers who added valueable knowledge to understanding, improving or transforming wholesale. Please take a closer look at our fields of interest below. We recognise exceptional master’s theses and doctoral projects, whether purely academic or completed alongside professional responsibilities. Research arising from postdoctoral or third-party-funded projects is likewise eligible.

The ForveG Research Award in 2026 carries a prize of at least €3,000. We are convinced that early-career researchers need flexible, unbureaucratic resources to invest in their work. For this reason, the prize money is placed at the full disposal of the award recipient following the formal award ceremony.

Promoting Applied Research by Emerging Scholars
In addition to promoting, initiating, and supporting scientific research in the wholesale sector, ForveG is committed to fostering outstanding early-career researchers. To promote young researchers we introduced a new award in 2025, endowed with €9,000 this year, to recognize exceptional research achievements. With a long-term perspective our award aims to encourage research projects that provide significant insights into the understanding and advancement of wholesale trade and its economic functions.
We seek to honor works that explore or analyze innovative business models, management approaches, technologies, software solutions, or insights into international markets and competitive conditions, provided they demonstrate exceptional academic quality. We would particularly like to encourage young researchers who have already focused on wholesale, as well as those whose work may prove valuable for the future development of the wholesale sector.
